At Orchid Clinic, we believe in delivering accurate diagnoses and effective treatments through the use of advanced medical technology. Under the expert care, our clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic tools and monitoring systems that help us provide timely and precise care to every patient.
Use of Latest Smart Technology in treatment and management of Diabetes and Pre-diabetes
- Newer forms of Glucometer – for at home management of plasma glucose (sugar), with finger-prick testing.
- CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) devices – for daily, minute to minute updates on glucose levels, with variations due to food patterns, exercise etc; WITHOUT REPEATED FINGER-PRICK testing.
- Insulin Pens: for improved control of glucose (in indicated patients).
- Insulin Pumps: A hassle free, insulin delivery system, for patients who are exclusively on insulin treatment (Type-1 and some of Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus patients), which eliminates daily 3-4 times pricking for insulin injections, for improved glucose control.
- Biothesiometer for diagnosis of neuropathy problems (tingling sensation, loss of sensation in foot) in diabetes patients.
- Podia scan – system which measure the pressure distribution across the plantar surface of the foot. These scans help visualize areas of high and low pressure, aiding in the early diagnosis and management of various foot-related issues like callus, developing ulcer in foot in diabetic patients
- Durometer- to measure the hardness of materials like sole of footwear, to detect wear and tear of shoes in neuropathy patients.
- ECG (Electrocardiogram)
- Fundoscope – process of examining the inside of the eye -called ‘fundus’, to look for changes (in retina) due to high glucose levels, to prevent visual impairment or blindness in diabetic patients.
