What is Prediabtes?
- Prediabetes is a precursor before the diagnosis of diabetes.
- Adults with prediabetes often may show no signs or symptoms of diabetes but will have blood sugar levels higher than normal.
How it happens?
- Lack of exercise, poor dietary habits (like fast foods, improper meal timings, high consumption of sweetened food items), sedentary habits and many more.
- Genetic predisposition like family history of diabetes.
Why it is important to detect and treat Pre-diabetes?

Prediabetes is a risk factor for the development of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke (paralysis), and kidney disease.

- Use of CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) devices, to track sugar excursions.
- Dietary advise
- Exercise - Aerobic , strengthening, resistance and flexibility exercises.
- Physical activity
- Use of Medication in certain high risk group patients.
